This workshop describes a sequence of activities for the teaching of Analytical Geometry in Secondary Education, involving the use of the sociocultural vision of mathematics, since it is part of the PPA-017615 project, entitled Teacher Training under the Sociocultural Vision of Mathematics , attached to the School of Mathematics of the National University. A feature of the Costa Rican idiosyncrasy consists in giving the postal addresses in a particular descriptive way, deeply rooted in socio-cultural aspects, so the central axis of the workshop is to take advantage of this characteristic so typical of the Ticos in the mathematics classroom for the teaching of Analytical Geometry. Participating teachers are expected to generate reflections on the way in which these activities can be integrated into the active contextualization, which promotes the current programs of the Ministry of Public Education (MEP, 2012).
