El pensamiento de Omar Dengo. "El Problema Social es Problema de Educación por Excelencia"

Abstract

Me siento muy honrada y complacida de estar entre ustedes, agradezco mucho la invitación tanto por el acto en sí y el inicio de esta actividad FORO OMAR DENGO, con la importancia que la misma tiene, como por encontrarme en este recinto universitario que es, por ser lo usual dentro de mi carrera y mi vida, un recinto que me es habitual, que me es grato, que me es querido, máxime en este caso en que el Campus de la Universidad lleva el nombre de mi Padre. Me parece que ha sido muy acertado, como el Lic. Miguel A. Hernández lo presentaba, el escogimiento del nombre de OMAR DENGO para el análisis que van a emprender en este Foro ya que, como ha sido dicho, la figura de OMAR DENGO, sus esfuerzos, su obra, tendieron, dentro de la permanencia y vigencia que este pensamiento y esta obra tienden actualmente, a enfocar los problemas educativos dentro del todo de los problemas sociales, políticos, culturales del país ya encontrar en la educación un vehículo de transformación de la sociedad, un vehículo de formación del hombre y de construcción, por ende, de la sociedad y de la vida misma de la nación.

I feel very honored and pleased to be among you, I appreciate very much the invitation both for the act itself and the beginning of this activity OMAR DENGO FORUM, with the importance that I have, as if to find myself in this university campus that is, for being the usual within my career and my life, a place that is usual for me, that is pleasing to me, that is loved, especially in this case where the University Campus is named after my father. It seems to me that the choice of the name OMAR DENGO for the analysis that they are going to undertake in this Forum has been very successful, as Mr. Miguel A. Hernández presented it, As it has been said, the figure of OMAR DENGO, his efforts, his work, tended, within the permanence and validity that this thought and this work tend to focus on the problems educational within the whole social, political, cultural problems of the country already found in education a vehicle for the transformation of society, a vehicle for the formation of man and of construction, therefore, of the society and the very life of the nation.
