Abstract

Analiza la relación de los Programas de Estudio de Ciencias y Matemática de sétimo nivel, desde el ámbito de la administración del currículo. Liceo Sinaí, Circuito Escolar 01, Dirección Regional de Educación, Pérez Zeledón. Curso Lectivo 2009. Se elabora una propuesta de administración curricular a partir de la integración de los contenidos de los programas de estudio de sétimo nivel en las asignaturas de Ciencias y Matemática. Dada la naturaleza de la investigación esta se ubica bajo un enfoque cualitativo. Para recopilar la información necesaria para el análisis de esta investigación se trabajó con una población total. Conformada por 11 docentes (6 de Ciencias y 5 de Matemática) y 4 administrativos (el director y el sub director) y los asesores específicos regionales de las asignaturas en cuestión). Se concluye: El análisis realizado a los programas de estudio del Ministerio de Educación Pública, tanto de Ciencias como de Matemática, demuestra que al menos la mitad de los objetivos del programa de Ciencias que se desarrollan en sétimo nivel tienen una estrecha relación con la asignatura de Matemática. Los docentes consultados en esta investigación manifiestan conocer la relación existente entre las asignaturas de Ciencias y Matemática. Una vez establecida la relación existente entre los contenidos de los programas de estudio de Ciencias y Matemática, de sétimo nivel, del Ministerio de Educación Pública, se evidencia, que los contenidos de Matemática que se utilizan como herramienta para la enseñanza de las Ciencias se imparten en un periodo posterior al que esta última los necesita.

Analyzes the relationship between the seventh level Science and Mathematics Programs of Study, from the perspective of curriculum administration. A curriculum administration proposal is elaborated based on the integration of the contents of the seventh level study programs in the subjects of Science and Mathematics. Given the nature of the research, this is located under a qualitative approach. In order to gather the necessary information for the analysis of this research, we worked with a total population. It consisted of 11 teachers (6 for Science and 5 for Mathematics) and 4 administrative staff (the director and assistant director) and the specific regional advisors of the subjects in question). Conclusion: The analysis of the curricula of the Ministry of Public Education, both for science and mathematics, shows that at least half of the objectives of the science program developed at the seventh level are closely related to the subject of mathematics. The teachers consulted in this research state that they are aware of the relationship between the subjects of Science and Mathematics. Once the relationship between the contents of the seventh level Science and Mathematics curricula of the Ministry of Public Education is established, it is evident that the Mathematics contents used as a tool for the teaching of Science are taught in a period later than the one in which the latter needs them.
