Factores del proceso de adaptación a la educación secundaria que incidieron en la deserción de los y las estudiantes que han sido desertores y que actualmente se reincorporan al sétimo año del Liceo Nocturno de Pérez Zeledón en el 2003

Abstract

El presente estudio investiga los factores económicos, familiares y sociales en el proceso de adaptación a la educación secundaria que incidieron en la deserción de los estudiantes que han sido desertores y que actualmente se reincorporan al sétimo año del Liceo Nocturno de Pérez Zeledón, durante el año 2003. La presente investigación tiene el fin de estudiar un fenómeno social el proceso de adaptación que se vive en la secundaria y cuales componentes de este proceso afectan la deserción escolar lo que se ajusta al módulo de la investigación descriptiva. Se trabajo con una población de 20 estudiantes, que en determinado momento desertaron de la educación secundaria, pero que actualmente se reincorporaron al sistema educativo, los cuales representan un 100% de la población en estudio. Se utilizó para la recopilación de los datos tres cuestionarios de aplicación colectiva, estructurados cada uno en una sola sección siguiendo el orden de las variables. El análisis de los datos se encontró que los estudiantes consideran que los factores económicos y familiares no fueron un elemento que contribuyera a su decisión de desertar, sin embargo, los factores sociales sí tuvieron relevancia a la hora que éstos afirmaran que el ambiente del colegio no favoreció su integración al grupo.

The present study investigates the economic, family and social factors in the process of adaptation to secondary education that influenced the dropout of students who have been dropouts and who are currently returning to the seventh year of the Liceo Nocturno de Pérez Zeledón, during 2003. The purpose of this research is to study a social phenomenon, the process of adaptation that occurs in high school and which components of this process affect school dropout, which fits into the descriptive research module. We worked with a population of 20 students, who at some point dropped out of high school, but who are currently reincorporated into the educational system, which represent 100% of the population under study. Three questionnaires of collective application were used for data collection, each structured in a single section following the order of the variables. The analysis of the data showed that the students considered that economic and family factors were not an element that contributed to their decision to drop out; however, social factors were relevant when they stated that the school environment did not favor their integration into the group.
