Sistema de núcleo de negocios SICONESUP

Abstract

El proyecto de graduación SICONESUP consiste en el diseño, desarrollo e implementación de un sistema que centralice de forma integral la adecuada ejecución, control y administración de la mayor parte de los procesos realizados en el CONESUP actualmente. Por esta razón, esta aplicación será el sistema central o sistema de núcleo de negocios utilizado por el CONESUP para realizar las operaciones diarias que efectúa en la regulación de las universidades privadas de Costa Rica. El software contempla los procesos más críticos y cotidianos del CONESUP, los cuales le dan su razón de ser a esta institución. Entre dichos procesos podemos mencionar: la inscripción de títulos, la apertura de sedes universitarias privadas, la creación y modificación de carreras, la modificación de planes de estudio, y el establecimiento y actualización de tarifas de carreras. Cada uno de los procesos mencionados anteriormente requiere para su ejecución del cumplimiento de una serie de pasos y operaciones interdepartamentales del CONESUP, además de la continua interacción de parte de la universidad gestionante. Por esta razón, el SICONESUP posee la característica de abarcar la ejecución de dichos procesos, registrar sus estados, conocer qué departamentos están involucrados, y cuál es la duración estimada de la ejecución. Además, el SICONESUP permitirá que las ejecuciones de cada uno de los pasos involucrados en los procesos sean registradas para lograr un adecuado seguimiento de una operación en ejecución. El sistema logra la implantación de estándares, no solo a nivel del proyecto, sino también a nivel de los procesos, para mejorar el orden y la eficiencia de la organización. El SICONESUP es un sistema web, debido a la disposición de la Sección de Ingeniería de Software del MEP, la cual establece que "los nuevos sistemas que posea, desarrolle o adquiera el MEP, serán implementaciones en esta modalidad" (Manual de Lineamientos Web: 2009) (ver Anexo l). Además, posee una interfaz amigable y fácil de usar, y todas las características necesarias para que sea un sistema útil y eficaz. Este proyecto fue patrocinado por la Dirección de Informática de Gestión del MEP, específicamente por la Sección de Ingeniería de Software, y realizada bajo sus estándares y licencias de desarrollo Microsoft Visual Studio .Net 2005 y SQL Server 2005.

The SICONESUP graduation project consists of the design, development and implementation of a system that comprehensively centralizes the adequate execution, control and administration of most of the processes currently carried out in CONESUP. For this reason, this application will be the central system or business core system used by CONESUP to carry out the daily operations it carries out in the regulation of private universities in Costa Rica. The software contemplates the most critical and daily processes of CONESUP, which give this institution its reason for being. Among these processes we can mention: the registration of titles, the opening of private university venues, the creation and modification of careers, the modification of study plans, and the establishment and update of career fees. Each of the aforementioned processes requires compliance with a series of steps and interdepartmental operations of CONESUP for its execution, in addition to continuous interaction on the part of the managing university. For this reason, SICONESUP has the characteristic of covering the execution of said processes, registering their status, knowing which departments are involved, and what is the estimated duration of the execution. In addition, the SICONESUP will allow the execution of each one of the steps involved in the processes to be registered in order to achieve an adequate follow-up of an operation in execution. The system achieves the implementation of standards, not only at the project level, but also at the process level, to improve the order and efficiency of the organization. The SICONESUP is a web system, due to the provision of the Software Engineering Section of the MEP, which establishes that "the new systems that the MEP owns, develops or acquires, will be implementations in this modality" (Manual of Web Guidelines: 2009) (see Annex l). In addition, it has a friendly and easy-to-use interface, and all the necessary features to make it a useful and efficient system. This project was sponsored by the MEP Management Informatics Department, specifically by the Software Engineering Section, and carried out under its standards and development licenses Microsoft Visual Studio .Net 2005 and SQL Server 2005.
