Reflexiones en torno a las repercusiones de la Revolución Francesa en los movimientos sociales

Abstract

Me referiré a algunos momentos importantes de la repercusión histórico universal de la Revolución Francesa y de modo particular en los movimientos sociales y revolucionarios. La Revolución Francesa trasciende por cuanto la podemos considerar la Revolución Madre de los procesos históricos, que le siguen en todas partes del mundo, en la lucha por la construcción del sistema republicano en Europa yen las batallas y guerra de liberación anticolonial, en regiones como la América Latina, durante los años posteriores a la propia revolución. No casualmente se enmarcan los principales procesos de la revolución anticolonial latinoamericana en el período que se ubica desde 1790, año inmediato de la Revolución Francesa, hasta 1824. Por ello, la Revolución Francesa adquiere gran actualidad. y permite refrescar y rememorar la necesidad de valorar un acontecimiento revolucionario, de una Revolución en todos los órdenes de una sociedad, estudiar una época revolucionaria particular y extraer de ella sus enseñanzas y, sobre todo, obliga, por su proyección, a estudiar la sociedad contemporánea y nuestra propia realidad urgida de cambios también revolucionarios, de profundas y radicales transformaciones económicas, sociales, políticas y democráticas.
