Factores personales y metodológicos que afectan el desarrollo eficiente de los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje de los estudiantes de noveno nivel del programa “Nuevas Oportunidades Educativas para Jóvenes”, con sede en la Escuela Pedro Pérez Zeledón, circuito 01 de la Dirección Regional de Educación, Pérez Zeledón, durante el primer período lectivo 2007.

Abstract

La presente investigación tuvo como propósito conocer los factores personales y metodológicos que afectan el desarrollo eficiente de los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje de los estudiantes de noveno nivel del programa "Nuevas Oportunidades Educativas para Jóvenes". La investigación responde a un estudio de tipo descriptivo. La literatura muestra que tanto los factores personales como metodológicos son imprescindibles para el buen funcionamiento de dichos procesos. Para el desarrollo de la investigación se utilizaron tres instrumentos, estructurados en dos partes. La primera parte se refiere a los factores personales y la segunda a los metodológicos; los mismos constan de treinta ítemes de respuesta cerradas. Dicho estudio se realizó en la Escuela Pedro Pérez Zeledón, circuito 01 de la Dirección Regional de Educación, con el Programa “Nuevas Oportunidades Educativas para Jóvenes”, se tomó como muestra a 20 estudiantes de noveno nivel, 5 profesores y al Asesor de Educación de Adultos. Los principales resultados muestran que los factores personales tanto de docentes como de alumnos afectan positivamente el desarrollo eficiente los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje, según fueron las opiniones dadas por los sujetos investigados. Por el contrario los factores metodológicos fueron considerados por los estudiantes, docentes y asesor como factores que afectan negativamente, pues la mayoría de las respuestas así lo determinó. Los factores que están afectando negativamente de manera más significativa son el uso de materiales diversos, técnicas, métodos y la utilización del juego como recurso de aprendizaje. Las principales recomendaciones sugieren que los factores personales tanto de docentes como de alumnos se deben fortalecer mediante diversas técnicas y estrategias que contribuyan a mejorarlos, en cuanto a los factores metodológicos es importante que los docentes aprovechen al máximo el potencial de los alumnos mediante juegos y dinámicas, dándoles la oportunidad de que, piensen, decidan y actúen.

The purpose of this research was to determine the personal and methodological factors that affect the efficient development of the teaching and learning processes of ninth grade students in the "New Educational Opportunities for Youth" program. The research is a descriptive study. The literature shows that both personal and methodological factors are essential for the proper functioning of these processes. Three instruments were used for the development of the research, structured in two parts. The first part refers to the personal factors and the second to the methodological ones; they consist of thirty closed response items. This study was carried out at the Pedro Pérez Zeledón School, circuit 01 of the Regional Directorate of Education, with the "New Educational Opportunities for Young People" Program, with a sample of 20 ninth grade students, 5 teachers and the Adult Education Advisor. The main results show that the personal factors of both teachers and students positively affect the efficient development of the teaching and learning processes, according to the opinions given by the subjects investigated. On the contrary, the methodological factors were considered by the students, teachers and advisor as factors that affect negatively, since the majority of the answers so determined. The factors that are affecting negatively in a more significant way are the use of diverse materials, techniques, methods and the use of the game as a learning resource. The main recommendations suggest that the personal factors of both teachers and students should be strengthened through various techniques and strategies that contribute to improve them. As for the methodological factors, it is important that teachers make the most of the students' potential through games and dynamics, giving them the opportunity to think, decide and act.
