Plan estratégico para incorporar el Programa "Adopte una quebrada" en el Liceo San Antonio, Desamparados, Costa Rica

Abstract

El presente estudio se realizó en el Liceo San Antonio, ubicado en San Antonio de Desamparados, en la Provincia de San José. Por el espíritu de servicio y colaboración que distingue al personal y alumnado del Liceo, se les solicitó la ayuda para analizar la posibilidad de incorporar en su quehacer el programa "Adopte una quebrada". La decisión de crear este programa nace de la inquietud y preocupación del ser humano al ver su entorno cada día más contaminado, especialmente las aguas. Es reconocido mundialmente, razón por la cual se desea implementar en algunos colegios y comunidades de Costa Rica, donde cada uno de los profesores y estudiantes asuma la responsabilidad de cuidar y proteger una quebrada o río, para tener una mejor calidad de agua y de vida. Para la investigación se utilizó una encuesta con preguntas que permiten evaluar la posibilidad de adoptar una quebrada o río que estuviera cerca o afectara al Liceo San Antonio. La encuesta consta de seis partes; el cuestionario contenía preguntas de dos tipos: abiertas y cerradas, de respuesta corta e inmediata. Se aplicó dicho cuestionario a 55 docentes y a 105 estudiantes. El estudio reveló el interés que tienen los profesores y estudiantes del Liceo San Antonio para que se incorpore el programa "Adopte una quebrada", en su institución y recibir capacitación. El 93.10% de los docentes y el 85.75% de los alumnos está de acuerdo y tienen una actitud positiva para que este programa se incluya en el quehacer de su colegio. Pero en el momento en que se les solicita participar de dicho programa esta actitud disminuye a un 79.31% en el caso de los profesores y en los estudiantes a un 73.34%. Más del 50% de los docentes y alumnos no ha participado en grupos ecológicos que se preocupan por el ambiente. Se encontró en este estudio que tanto docentes como estudiantes tienen barreras que afectarían su participación en el programa, tales como: casi no tengo tiempo, falta de capacitación, no pertenecer a la misma comunidad, que son barreras de control, conceptuales y actitudinales, respectivamente. Como respuesta a los resultados de la investigación se propone un plan estratégico para que sea desarrollado por los profesores y estudiantes del Liceo de San Antonio para el mejoramiento, protección y conservación del ambiente a través del programa "Adopte una quebrada".

The present study was carried out at the Liceo San Antonio, located in San Antonio de Desamparados, in the Province of San José. The survey consists of six parts; The questionnaire contained two types of questions: open and closed, short and immediate response. This questionnaire was applied to 55 teachers and 105 students. The study revealed the interest that the teachers and students of the Liceo San Antonio have in incorporating the "Adopt a quebrada" program in their institution and receiving training. 93.10% of the teachers and 85.75% of the students agree and have a positive attitude for this program to be included in the work of their school. But when they are asked to participate in this program, this attitude decreases to 79.31% in the case of teachers and in students to 73.34%. More than 50% of teachers and students have not participated in ecological groups that care about the environment. It was found in this study that both teachers and students have barriers that would affect their participation in the program, such as: I hardly have time, lack of training, not belonging to the same community, which are control, conceptual and attitudinal barriers, respectively. . In response to the results of the research, a strategic plan is proposed to be developed by the teachers and students of the Liceo de San Antonio for the improvement, protection and conservation of the environment through the "Adopt a stream" program.
