Implicación del lector en los procesos de canonización y marginalización de la crítica literaria costarricense periodística y académica actual (2010-2020)

Abstract

Reflexiona sobre el poder, como una parte inherente a todos, manifestada en el acto cotidiano y común de la elección. No interesa hablar del poder desde la literatura, de cómo es visto y expresado en las páginas de los libros, sino del poder sobre la literatura, de cómo el hecho literario y sus diversos actores son sometidos a estructuras y códigos de apreciación, de cómo esta realidad es definida y redefinida más allá de sí misma, una vez el texto ha abandonado la mente del autor y ha quedado libre a merced de los lectores. Se habla de la crítica como centro de poder, de los procesos de canonización y marginalización de la crítica literaria costarricense en los últimos diez años, que lleva a cabo y de cómo ésta se relaciona con el lector. Analiza esta relación entre crítico y lector porque el ejercicio crítico, al igual que la literatura, en su esencia más básica, es un acto comunicativo donde todos los componentes son igual de esenciales, por tanto, en los procesos inherentes al ejercicio crítico, el lector de un texto literario es tan importante como el académico que pretende decirle por qué debe (o no) leer dicho texto. Se propone hablar de cómo el lector es una parte fundamental en este sistema de por sí complejo. Como conclusiones se obtienen, que el papel de la crítica como agente del campo de poder intelectual no ha cambiado a pesar del devenir histórico. Además que no es sólo la existencia del campo de poder del lector, sino la necesidad de su estudio y comprensión como parte del siguiente paso en la evolución de la crítica para superar la desconexión harto mencionada. Esto debe conllevar, necesariamente, a un replanteamiento de los modelos actuales de producción y consumo de la literatura y al desarrollo de una actividad crítica dialógica y consciente del porvenir de estos nuevos estudios literarios

It reflects on power as an inherent part of everyone, manifested in the everyday and common act of choice. It is not interested in talking about power in literature, about how it is seen and expressed in the pages of books, but about power over literature, about how the literary fact and its diverse actors are subjected to structures and codes of appreciation, about how this reality is defined and redefined beyond itself, once the text has left the author's mind and has been left free at the mercy of the readers. It talks about criticism as a center of power, about the processes of canonization and marginalization of Costa Rican literary criticism in the last ten years, and how it relates to the reader. It analyzes this relationship between critic and reader because the critical exercise, as well as literature, in its most basic essence, is a communicative act where all the components are equally essential, therefore, in the processes inherent to the critical exercise, the reader of a literary text is as important as the academic who pretends to tell him why he should (or should not) read such text. It is proposed to talk about how the reader is a fundamental part of this complex system. The conclusions are that the role of criticism as an agent in the field of intellectual power has not changed in spite of the historical evolution. Furthermore, it is not only the existence of the field of power of the reader, but the need to study and understand it as part of the next step in the evolution of criticism in order to overcome the disconnection mentioned above. This must necessarily lead to a rethinking of the current models of production and consumption of literature and to the development of a dialogic critical activity that is conscious of the future of these new literary studies.
