Influencia del director en la toma de decisiones con respecto al funcionamiento de las adecuaciones curriculares no significativas de los niños del primer ciclo de las Escuelas Técnicas María Auxiliadora y Barrio Canadá del circuito 09 de la Región Educativa de Coto durante el primer período del 2003

Abstract

Investiga como influye la toma de decisiones del director con respecto al funcionamiento de las adecuaciones curriculares no significativas, de los niños del primer ciclo de las Escuelas Técnicas María Auxiliadora y Barrio Canadá del circuito 09 de la Región Educativa de Coto, durante el primer período del 2003. El estudio analiza los aspectos generales de las adecuaciones curriculares, la toma de decisiones del director efectuadas a través de las funciones administrativas, las acciones que ejerce con respecto al funcionamiento del comité de apoyo y la evaluación de los docentes en cuanto a la aplicación de las adecuaciones curriculares no significativas. La investigación es de tipo descriptiva, debido a que busca propiedades importantes de las personas sujetas a investigar. En este estudio los sujetos involucrados están conformados por 73 individuos; 30 niños de primer ciclo que presentan adecuación curricular no significativa, 30 padres, 11 docentes y 2 directores, a quienes se le aplicaron cuestionarios para la recopilación de los datos. Entre los datos más relevantes se destaca que, el director debe antes de tomar decisiones importantes, consultar la opinión del personal e involucrar más a los padres de familia, además de implementar otras acciones desde el comité de apoyo para el beneficio del aprendizaje de los niños. Falta mayor control y seguimiento por parte de los directores en el proceso de adecuaciones curriculares, y condiciones óptimas en los centros educativos para atender a niños con necesidades educativas especiales. Solo un 53% de los padres conoce cuál es el objetivo de las adecuaciones, mientras que en los niños desconocen en gran medida las clases de adecuaciones y las limitaciones de la aplicación.

The study investigates the influence of the principal's decision making with respect to the functioning of the non-significant curricular adaptations of the children of the first cycle of the Technical Schools María Auxiliadora and Barrio Canadá of circuit 09 of the Educational Region of Coto, during the first period of 2003. The study analyzes the general aspects of the curricular adaptations, the director's decision making made through administrative functions, the actions exercised with respect to the operation of the support committee and the evaluation of the teachers regarding the application of the non-significant curricular adaptations. The research is descriptive, because it looks for important properties of the subjects to be investigated. In this study the subjects involved are made up of 73 individuals; 30 first cycle children who present non-significant curricular adaptation, 30 parents, 11 teachers and 2 directors, to whom questionnaires were applied for data collection. Among the most relevant data, it stands out that, before making important decisions, the director should consult the opinion of the staff and involve the parents more, in addition to implementing other actions from the support committee for the benefit of the children's learning. There is a lack of greater control and follow-up by the directors in the process of curricular adaptations, and optimal conditions in the educational centers to attend to children with special educational needs. Only 53% of the parents know what the objective of the adaptations is, while the children are largely unaware of the types of adaptations and the limitations of their application.
