Caracterización de la participación juvenil en el Centro Cívico por la Paz (CCP) de Guararí, Heredia en el período 2021-2022

Abstract

La presente investigación consiste en un análisis descriptivo sobre la participación juvenil, cuya finalidad consiste en conocer las características de la participación juvenil en el Centro Cívico por la Paz (CCP) de Guararí de Heredia. La misma nace a partir de la necesidad y el interés personal e institucional. La naturaleza de la investigación se enmarca en el enfoque cualitativo, el cual permite describir el fenómeno en cuestión; el paradigma es constructivista y el tipo de estudio es descriptivo propositivo. La población de interés para la investigación se caracterizó por ser finita y consistió en personas jóvenes que asisten al CCP ubicado en la comunidad de Guararí, distrito de San Francisco en la provincia de Heredia. Es importante mencionar que el período de análisis de la investigación fue entre el año 2021 y el 2022, dicho momento se estableció a partir de la reapertura del centro post pandemia por el Covid-19. Para el proceso de investigación se utilizaron técnicas tales como: el taller participativo, la observación participante, el cuestionario y la revisión bibliográfica. Las cuales permitieron el desarrollo de un diagnóstico sobre la participación juvenil en el CCP de Guararí, donde se tomaron en cuenta los pensares y sentires de personas jóvenes sobre aspectos como: espacios, mecanismos de participación, motivaciones, barreras de la participación juvenil y la identificación del tipo de participación. El principal hallazgo de la investigación fue que la participación de las personas jóvenes en el CCP es activa, sin embargo, existen determinadas barreras las cuales la afectan. Por lo tanto, se insta a quienes se encargan del CCP potenciar la participación y atender tales barreras mediante el diseño de estrategias o planes de acción. Finalmente, a partir de lo anterior, se elaboró un plan para el fomento de la participación juvenil el cual integra propuestas realizadas por personas jóvenes que desean tener mayor incidencia dentro del CCP y potenciar sus capacidades de autogestión.

The present investigation consists of a descriptive analysis on youth participation, whose purpose is to know the characteristics of youth participation in the Civic Center for Peace (CCP) of Guararí de Heredia. It is born from the need and personal and institutional interest. The nature of the research is framed in the qualitative approach, which allows describing the phenomenon in question; the paradigm is constructivist and the type of study is descriptive and proactive. The population of interest for the research was characterized by being finite and consisted of young people who attend the CCP located in the community of Guararí, district of San Francisco in the province of Heredia. It is important to mention that the research analysis period was between 2021 and 2022, that moment was established after the reopening of the post-pandemic center by Covid-19. For the research process, techniques such as: the participatory workshop, participant observation, the questionnaire and the bibliographic review were used. Which allowed the development of a diagnosis on youth participation in the Guararí CCP, where the thoughts and feelings of young people on aspects such as: spaces, participation mechanisms, motivations, barriers to youth participation and identification were taken into account. the type of participation. The main finding of the research was that the participation of young people in the CCP is active, however, there are certain barriers that affect it. Therefore, those in charge of the CCP are urged to promote participation and address such barriers through the design of strategies or action plans. Finally, based on the above, a plan for the promotion of youth participation was prepared, which integrates proposals made by young people who wish to have a greater impact within the CCP and enhance their self-management capacities.
