El presente documento corresponde a un manual para productores comerciales
de arroz que resume los aspectos más importantes extraídos de la revisión bibliográfica,
de los antecedentes del Refugio Nacional de Vida Silvestre Barra de
Colorado (RNVS Barra de Colorado), de los términos de referencia propuestos
por el Proyecto para la Promoción del Manejo Participativo en la Conservación
de la Biodiversidad (MAPCOBIO), de la Agencia de Cooperación Internacional del
Japón (JICA) y el Área de Conservación Tortuguero (ACTo) del Sistema Nacional
de Áreas de Conservación (SINAC), Ministerio de Ambiente y Energía (MINAE) del
gobierno de Costa Rica, de la experiencia de los autores del documento y de la
visita al área.
La temática fue abordada por el MAPCOBIO, JICA y ACTo desde el 2013 fortaleciendo
el manejo participativo de la biodiversidad, que incluyó el trabajo con
fincas integrales, el monitoreo ambiental participativo, la educación ambiental, el
fortalecimiento de consejo local, la actualización de plan de manejo, etc. This document corresponds to a manual for commercial producers
of rice that summarizes the most important aspects extracted from the bibliographic review,
of the background of the Barra de Barra National Wildlife Refuge
Colorado (RNVS Barra de Colorado), from the proposed terms of reference
by the Project for the Promotion of Participatory Management in Conservation
of Biodiversity (MAPCOBIO), of the International Cooperation Agency of the
Japan (JICA) and the Tortuguero Conservation Area (ACTo) of the National System
of Conservation Areas (SINAC), Ministry of Environment and Energy (MINAE) of the
government of Costa Rica, the experience of the authors of the document and the
visit to the area.
The topic was addressed by MAPCOBIO, JICA and ACTo since 2013, strengthening
participatory management of biodiversity, which included work with
integral farms, participatory environmental monitoring, environmental education,
strengthening the local council, updating the management plan, etc.
